Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Defiance, OH

Contract Duration: 5 Weeks

Schedule:

• Monday & Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Wednesday & Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Pay Rate: $24/hour

Job Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations at a healthcare clinic. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical support, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients throughout their visit

• Schedule appointments and manage incoming calls

• Take and record vital signs

• Perform phlebotomy and blood draws

• Administer vaccines and assist with point-of-care (POC) testing

• Perform EKGs as needed

• Provide front and back office clinical support

• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system

• Collaborate effectively with providers and staff

• Support health education and patient outreach initiatives

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Experience in both front and back office operations

• Phlebotomy / venipuncture skills

• EKG administration

• Point-of-care (POC) testing

• Scheduling and patient coordination

• Rooming patients and taking vital signs

• BLS or CPR certification

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)

• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred

• Occupational Health experience strongly preferred

• EMR experience required

• Strong computer skills and attention to detail

• Excellent patient communication skills

• Passion for health education and community outreach
