Retail Operations Manager (Luxury Timepiece Boutique)
Location: Westlake, Ohio (On-site)
Status: Full-time
Salary: $70K - $90K
Other Compensation: Sales Commission Eligible
Position Overview
Teddy Baldassarre is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to support our new Flagship Boutique in Cleveland, Ohio. This position will serve as the key liaison between our client-facing sales operations and our back-office teams.
This role is critical to ensuring smooth business operations for both in-store and online customers. The Retail Operations Manager will develop a deep understanding of our sales flow and help maintain the optimal balance of inventory across multiple locations. Based at our flagship boutique, this individual will monitor inventory status while supporting fulfillment and shipping operations.
The position will collaborate closely with several key team members, including the Retail Director, Merchandising Team, and Warehouse Team, to support daily operations and maintain operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and hands-on, with the ability to thrive in a luxury retail environment that blends in-store sales support with a strong digital and e-commerce presence.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Oversee the daily operational processes of the boutique to ensure smooth and efficient store performance.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory within the boutique to support efficient product access during client interactions.
- Ensure operational procedures are consistently followed throughout the store.
- Support day-to-day store operations by coordinating inventory access, product preparation, and operational tasks.
Merchandise Handling & Presentation
- Ensure proper handling and care of all luxury timepieces during client interactions and operational processes.
- Maintain organized showcases, safes, and storage areas for boutique inventory.
- Ensure displays and presentation materials align with luxury retail standards.
- Assist with product placement and rotation to maintain a polished boutique environment.
Online Order Fulfillment
- Fulfill online orders sourced from boutique inventory with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Securely package high-value timepieces for shipment when online orders are fulfilled from the store.
- Coordinate with internal teams to confirm product availability and ensure timely processing of orders originating from store inventory.
- Maintain accurate documentation of order fulfillment and product movement.
Inventory Coordination & Transfers
- Facilitate product transfers between the boutique and warehouse to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Coordinate inventory movement to support both retail demand and online sales fulfillment.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliation within the boutique.
- Maintain accurate records of product transfers and inventory adjustments.
Warehouse Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure alignment between warehouse inventory and boutique inventory.
- Coordinate transfers of watches between the warehouse and retail store.
- Communicate inventory needs, stock availability, and operational updates between locations.
- Support operational efficiency by helping streamline fulfillment and inventory processes across both environments.
Retail Environment & Standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually refined boutique environment.
- Ensure proper adherence to store security procedures and handling of high-value inventory.
- Demonstrate situational awareness and professionalism consistent with a luxury retail environment.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in retail operations , luxury retail preferred.
- Experience working with high-value products such as watches, jewelry, or similar goods.
- Strong organizational and operational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to safely handle, prepare, and package high-value items.
- Experience coordinating inventory or fulfillment processes preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory software, and CRM tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
- Interest or knowledge of watches and horology is a plus.
