Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach media and communication courses starting August 2026. Job Description The Department of Media, Journalism & Film prepares students to live and work in a complex media environment, offering majors in Film Studies, Journalism, Media & Communication, and Strategic Communication. The primary responsibility for the hire will be teaching multiple sections of Media, Representation, and Society, a requirement of our Media & Communication major. Candidates should also be able to teach in one or more of the following areas: audience studies, media and cultural studies, qualitative research methods, or political economy of media. Minimum Qualifications: Required: Ph.D. in Media Studies, Communication, or related field by date of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor; ABD or Master's degree in Media Studies, Communication, or related field by date of appointment for appointment as Instructor.
