Director of Speech Language Pathology ('26-'27 School Year)

2. Licensure: Current license through the Ohio Board of Speech and Hearing Professionals. Current appropriate Ohio Department of Education license for area of specialty. Current American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) certificate of clinical competence.
3. Skills/Competencies:
Pass Safety Care Core Curriculum by passing the written exam, attending the full duration of training, participating and passing the required role plays, and demonstrating the full competencies up to and including the Two-Person Stability Hold required.

- Experience: At least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Other: Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals.
- Provide administrative supervision to the program and staff including, but not limited to, hiring, supervision, evaluation, disciplinary actions and termination of employees.
- Provide regular clinical supervision to Speech Language Pathologists.
- Provide direct speech and language services to students.
- Meet weekly with Speech Therapy Staff.
- Determine diagnostic and therapeutic supply needs; Order diagnostic and therapy materials for the Speech Therapy Department library.
- Participate in ongoing training for all staff to successfully implement the principles of the Monarch Model and data collection system.
- Supervise Clinical Fellowship Year Speech Pathologists.
- Write annual performance evaluations and discuss results with staff.
- Attend continuing education seminars and trainings. Promote Monarch School and present information and conferences.
- Maintain positive relationships with area Universities to continue opportunities for Undergraduate and Graduate Intern experiences.
- Oversee the Assistive Technology Specialist and collaborate in expanding the AT and AAC libraries based on current research and new technology.
- Attend weekly teleconference with Boston team.
- Assist in development of report templates and protocol for evaluating new and existing students.
- Review and provide feedback regarding all clinical documents submitted to the student record (IEP, ETR, progress reports, assessment reports, etc.).
- Ensure data is collected reliably and filed in a timely manner.
- Participate in parent training seminars.
- As necessary, utilize Safety Care procedures, including at a minimum, make use of the necessary Two-Person Stability Hold.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
- All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
- Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
