Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher

Location: Maineville, OH

Pay Rate: $45-$50 per hour

Hours per Week: 35+

Duration: ASAP through the end of the 2025-2026 school year

Schedule: Full-time, school-based

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality services to K-12 students in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this educator will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement individualized student programs. Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction, providing tutorial support, monitoring student progress, and consulting with general education staff to support student success.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized academic instruction based on IEP goals

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans

• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related services, and administrators

• Participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions

• Implement behavior strategies and accommodations as needed

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by Ohio and/or district regulations

• Minimum of one year experience in a teaching environment preferred

• Preferred State Teacher Certification Types:

• Standard Elementary Teaching

• Standard Secondary Teaching

• Standard Special Teaching

• Preferred Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) or equivalent

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR certification (if applicable)

• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

• Current health certificate as required by state or contract

• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
