Job Title: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Garfield Heights, OH
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry to join a dynamic healthcare team in Garfield Heights, OH . This role offers flexibility in shift options with 3x12-hour shifts as the standard schedule. As an RN on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care for adult patients who require telemetry monitoring and management of various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
- Monitor patients’ cardiovascular status using telemetry and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Administer medications, provide treatments, and assist with procedures in accordance with medical orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess and manage patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Document patient information accurately and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
- 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to travel.
- Ohio RN License or a Compact State RN license (must be in hand).
- Required Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS.
- Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start.
- ECG Rhythm Recognition Test and SafeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required.
- One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying is required for submission. Charge RN references are accepted.
