Are you passionate about structured literacy and transforming the lives of students with dyslexia and reading challenges? Trained in Orton-Gillingham or Wilson Reading System ? Join our team as a Reading Instructor and make a meaningful difference through evidence-based, multisensory instruction.

In this role, you will work directly with students who require, systematic, and multisensory reading instruction, helping them build confidence, independence, and long-term success in reading. You will provide structured literacy instruction to students with reading and learning challenges, including dyslexia and language-based learning differences.

📍 TES Therapy | Akron | Part-Time
💰 $25 - $28.69/hr*
*Salary range is contingent upon relatable experience, type of credentialing/certification, education, and use of a second language in your role (50% of the time).

🎯 What You'll Do:

• Deliver evidence-based structured literacy instruction using Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or comparable methodologies
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who have reading difficulties or learning differences
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on student needs and progress
• Track progress and adjust instruction to ensure measurable growth
• Collaborate with families, educators, and support teams as appropriate

✅ What We're Looking For :

• Formal training in Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, or another structured literacy approach
• ​​​​​​​Experience working with students who have dyslexia or reading-based learning challenges
• Strong understanding of the Science of Reading
• Patience, empathy, and a deep belief in every student’s ability to learn
• Commitment to high-quality, intentional instruction
• Valid Ohio Department of Education (ODE) credential (Intervention Specialist or appropriate teaching license preferred)
• Current BCI/FBI background clearance
• Current TB Test
• Valid automobile insurance meeting 25/50k liability coverage (if driving for work-related duties)
