At Air Technical Industries in Mentor, Ohio, we are dedicated to designing and building unique material handling machinery. We are looking for a dynamic and hard-working individual for responsibilities in the machine shop, manual machining on engine and turret lathes, and CNC lathes. Additional responsibilities include assembling and testing hydraulic cylinders. We offer competitive wages and benefits.

$22 - $26 hourly

• Operate CNC and manual lathes with precision to produce high-quality components that meet our exacting standards.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, ensuring accurate machining processes.
• Set up and adjust machine tools and equipment, optimizing performance for each unique project.
• Monitor the machining process, making real-time adjustments to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on lathes and other equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
• Assemble and test hydraulic cylinders, ensuring they meet our rigorous quality benchmarks.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment for all team members.

• Experience in operating CNC and manual lathes with precision and efficiency.
• Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
• Proven track record of setting up equipment with accurate adjustments and tooling.
• Proficiency in using hand tools for fabricating and machining parts.
• Skill in verifying parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality.
• Experience in assembling hydraulic cylinders and conducting pressure and leak tests.
• Ability to document equipment changes meticulously and maintain accurate records of work performed.
