Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Palliative Care / MS Tele unit, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency, with day/night rotating shifts available.

Details

• Palliative care unit (11th floor) within a cancer hospital setting, focused on symptom management for patients with serious illness
• Patient population includes those experiencing uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue
• High-acuity med/surg cases also encountered through float assignments to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Rotating day and night shifts available: Days 7:00–19:30 or Nights 19:00–7:30 (3x12-hour shifts)
• Shift assignments (days, nights, or a combination) are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs
• Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference — no coworker references accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment and is limited to 7 days or fewer
• Former employees of the facility are eligible to apply once they have been away for 6 months or more
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after booking — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
