Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43215 (Ohio healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Hospital – Interventional Radiology Department
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Contract
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
• Call Requirement: As assigned (including weekend and weeknight call)
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2750 - $2820 per week
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Average Daily Census: 20 patients
• Charting System: Epic EMR

Qualifications for Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist

• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist in a Level I or II trauma center (2 years preferred)
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• Current ARRT certification (or equivalent radiology technologist credential)
• Ohio Department of Health radiologic license (pending accepted; must obtain within 24-48 hours)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Ability to take call as assigned, including weekends and weeknights
• Permanent address must be more than 100 miles from Columbus, OH 43215

Key Responsibilities

• Assist interventional radiologists in minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures (scrubbing, monitoring, circulating)
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound
• Perform and assist with procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and central venous access
• Ensure accurate patient monitoring and documentation using Epic EMR
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including nursing, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Maintain inventory and ensure readiness of procedural suites
