Job Description

The IT Project Specialist - Temp is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for the university. This includes creating web applications, components, reports, workflows, services, and other automation tools. The role requires a solid understanding of computer science principles, proficiency in modern programming languages, and experience in collaborative, agile environments. Key responsibilities include writing clean, scalable code, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle. The specialist also participates in testing through review, analysis, and certification of software. Occasional interaction with customers and vendors may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. Relevant work experience or proven track record of technical achievements is required.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Experience in web application development using ASP.NET, C#, Java, Python
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, responsive design techniques
• Proficiency in developing relational database applications in SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Experience with software development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure OpenAI, AI/ML Concepts and Training Models, Natural Language Processing
• Proficiency in server and network infrastructure technology including IIS on Windows Server and AWS
• Independent accountability in meeting deadlines and goals with minimal supervision
