Travel RN Job Details – Columbus, OH

• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 17 weeks (September 8, 2025 – January 5, 2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), 36 hours/week
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry – Surgical/Burn Unit (9 East Doan Hall)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $1,990
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Float: Required to float to other units as needed
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (medical-surgical nursing jobs)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state RN license required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• IV start and management skills
• EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references (one from nurse manager, director, or clinical leadership)

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to adult and geriatric patients with medical and surgical diagnoses
• Perform IV starts, lab draws, medication administration, and patient education
• Manage patients with feeding tubes, wound care/wound vacs, and telemetry monitoring
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, follow IV insulin protocols, and maintain isolation precautions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV team, PT, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, etc.)
• Float to other hospital units as needed to support patient care
• Document all care in EPIC EMR system
• Participate in self-scheduling and provide weekend shift coverage
