Neuro ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 17 weeks (September 8, 2025 – January 5, 2026)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts per week (Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call: Required
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:1–2
• Floating: Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 – $1,990

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Neuro ICU RN experience (neurocritical care nursing)
• Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio state RN license required at time of submission)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Epic EHR experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Two professional references (one from a nurse manager, director, or formal nursing leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Neuro ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to neurocritical patients, including ischemic/hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, neuromuscular diseases, and post-neurosurgery cases
• Perform advanced neurocritical procedures: IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, intracranial pressure monitoring, EVD, lumbar drains, and more
• Administer emergency medications, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage multi-system organ failure
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and more
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EHR
• Participate in bedside procedures and provide post-operative neurosurgical care
