Aircraft Powerplant Technician - Turbine Engine

Aerotek on behalf of it's client is seeking A&P mechanics in a Turbine Engine shop overhauling helicopter engines. MOS: 15B encouraged to apply. Job Description

• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals.
• Clean and inspect engines, engine components, and component parts for damage and wear.
• Use visual examination and special tooling and equipment for inspections.
• Replace or repair damaged and worn engine parts and component parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Reassemble and perform tests and/or checks to confirm engine or engine component serviceability.
• Document all inspection findings and work performed/corrective actions in the appropriate maintenance records.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Military or commercial turbine engine maintenance and/or component maintenance training preferred (e.g., Army MOS 15B).
• Must be a US Person per client ITAR regulation.
• Experience in Turbine Engine maintenance on any helicopter type.
• Skills in engine repair, aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and engine maintenance.
• A&P license not required, but preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, OR.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Aurora,OR.
