Required Qualifications

• Ability to have a highly flexible schedule as the position requires 90% travel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent in a technical or military field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in demining operations, with demonstrated knowledge of detection technologies, environmental factors, and soil composition.
• Previous experience with Department of Defense in an EOD capacity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Position Summary

The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) plays a critical role in delivering expert technical support for ground search metal detection technologies. Acting as a vital bridge between engineering, sales, and customers, the FAE ensures seamless product deployment, effective training, and optimal field performance. Responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, leading training sessions for customers and partners, and assessing customer needs to recommend tailored solutions. This role supports both pre-sales and post-sales activities, including troubleshooting, creating technical documentation, and gathering user feedback to drive product enhancements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in diverse environments, communicates complex technical concepts with clarity, and maintains a high level of professionalism and technical expertise during frequent travel and customer interactions.

Requirements

• Act as the company’s subject matter expert in ground search and demining technologies for military and humanitarian use.
• Deliver advanced technical support to key account customers, ensuring smooth product integration and effective issue resolution.
• Support product trials, customer interactions, and technical evaluations; compile detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all relevant equipment and technologies to meet evolving customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders at both technical and leadership levels.
• Gather and communicate critical customer feedback to engineering and R&D teams to support continuous product improvement.
• Partner with internal departments, including R&D and T&M Laboratories, to test, certify, and standardize new products and system components.
• Assist in developing internal documentation, procedures, and best practices to enhance team knowledge and operational consistency.
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows; assist with technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Deliver technical training and educational sessions to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders as needed.
