Position Introduction- Grant Funded Position

The Administrative Assistant 1 will perform job duties for the Special Supplemental Women, Infant and Children (WIC) grant funded program. The WIC Administrative Assistant 1 will conduct eligibility screening and perform intake functions to certify participants for the WIC program following guidelines established by the State WIC program. Intake functions include conducting anthropometric and laboratory testing of WIC eligible participants. This position is in our Chillicothe Office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS and CHARACTERISTICS:

· Completion of a secondary education or equivalent (high school or GED).

· Knowledge of basic computer skills, basic mathematical ability, and clerical skills

· Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette.

· Proficient use of Microsoft office, Excel, and Word.

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks without guidance.

· Must have experience working with families/children.

· Must be able to work 1 or 2 late evenings per month.

· Must be able to work in a team environment.

· Must have strong communication skills.

· Must be organized.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Must have a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and remain insurable in accordance with the agency’s insurance policy.

· Ability to pass a B.C.I. background check and Drug Screening including medical marijuana.

· Compliance with tuberculin test requirement per agency TB Plan.

$16.58 hr. - $18.24hr.
