Director Of Business Development – Independent & Assisted Living Community

About the Role
The Director of Business Development is a key leadership role responsible for leading the full sales cycle for our Independent and Assisted Living community—from generating new leads to closing move-ins. This role requires a dynamic personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create meaningful connections with seniors, families, and referral partners.
The ideal candidate preferably resides in the Cincinnati area and is organized , goal-oriented , charismatic, engaging, and fearless when it comes to outreach and follow-up. You’ll be the face of our community, ensuring every interaction is warm, genuine, and focused on results.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Outreach & Networking: Build and nurture relationships with healthcare providers, churches, senior living centers, professional referral sources, local businesses, and the broader community. Develop and execute comprehensive sales, marketing plans and metrics to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Events & Experiences: Plan and host engaging events—open houses, educational seminars, and social gatherings—to attract prospects and showcase community life.
- Prospect Engagement: Conduct tours that are tailored, memorable, and focused on the needs of each senior and their family.
- Follow-Up & Conversion: Proactively follow up with leads, referrals, and waitlist prospects in a timely manner through calls, emails, and personal notes to move them toward a decision.
- Digital Presence: Use social media and digital tools to share stories, events, and community updates that build excitement and drive inquiries.
- Pipeline Management: Track leads, inquiries, tours, and move-ins in the CRM with accuracy and accountability.
- Collaboration: Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to achieve occupancy goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Mentorship: Train and mentor sales staff on sales techniques and customer service.

- A minimum of 2 years in proven sales experience, with a successful track record in senior living, healthcare or a related industry.
