Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Columbus, OH/ Atlanta, GA(Hybrid). The ideal candidates must have expert‑level Java Full Stack proficiency to lead development efforts, enhance system performance, and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.

Rate Range: $57/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable software solutions using Java Full Stack technologies, ensuring high performance and reliability across distributed systems.
• Build and integrate components using Elastic and Mulesoft, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient system interoperability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive architectural decisions, ensure smooth component integration, and support enterprise‑level solution delivery.
• Continuously evaluate, optimize, and improve software performance, code quality, and user experience through modern frameworks and agile practices.
• Mentor junior developers, provide technical leadership, and share best practices to strengthen the team’s engineering capabilities.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, propose solutions across multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions that impact project direction and system design.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in Java Full Stack development, including backend, frontend, and integration work.
• Advanced proficiency in Java Full Stack, with strong experience in Elastic and Mulesoft for building scalable, integrated software solutions.
• Preferred familiarity with telecom domain projects and active cloud certifications, along with exposure to Kubernetes, Kafka, or telemetry tools.

Pay Details: $57.00 to $65.00 per hour
