General Summary:
TheMission Critical Quality / CommissioningProject Engineerwillbe responsibleforprovidingahigh levelof project-specific administrative support forthe onsiteQualityand Commissioning Team.TheQCxProject Engineer willassistthe onsiteQCxManagerwith the control and organization of product documentation and detailed phase-by-phase tracking.
Preferred Job Skills:
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
- Must be able to read and interpretspecifications,submittals, single-linediagramsand other contract documents.
- Ability to work under pressure,whileclosely trackingQC details of multiple project activities.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity withConstruction Management software andMicrosoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills arerequired.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, hands-on, working environment.
- Must have experience in a decision-making position,beself-motivated,and have ananalyticalmindset.
- Experience collaborating with field and management to understand and implement technological and Quality programs.
- Acute attention to detailand organizational skills.
- Ability tomaintainthe required levels of confidentiality when entrusted with sensitive business, customer, or employee related information.
- Able tomaintainhigh levelsof productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities:
- Drive a quality culture that embraces "Implement Quality from the Start" andcoachcontinuous learning approach that improves project efficiency and quality.
- Identifyareas for improvement while implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
- Assistinvestigations into quality-related incidents, conduct root causeanalysesand implement corrective actions,establishingpreventative measures to minimize future incidents.
- Manage the verification and documentation for all Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment, ensuring conformance with the approved submittal while adhering to the Equipment Protection Plan.
- AssistonsiteQCxteam with administrative support as needed.
- Participate inrequireddaily,weekly,and monthly meetings (i.e.,dailyCx, scheduling, coordination, pre-energization,and staffing meetings).
- Assistin the coordination of theFirst Time Energization (FTE)documentationprocess from start to finish.
- Identifiespotential quality issues from review of construction submittals / specifications.
- Analyzes upcoming tasks andanticipatesequipment installation standards, checklistproceduresand training.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of processes, systems, and documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Manage all projectissuelogs and punch lists collaborating with all affected and/or responsible parties to mitigate and drive to closure any open issues.
- AuditQuality Reports documenting field discrepancies and audit findings while coordinating corrective actions.
- Ascertain informationregardingchanges to regulations that couldimpactMission Critical operations.
- Identifyand assess quality risks associated with Mission Critical operations.
- Manage/track certain OFCI equipment while communicating status with the construction team.
- Develop/conduct trainingpertaining totopics in relation to electrical systems, components, and/or departmentalspecific.
