With that in mind, we encourage all qualified applicants to apply. Job Description The Temple Department is seeking to appoint a Clothing Supervisor for the Pago Pago American Samoa Temple. This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours per week) reporting directly to the Temple Recorder. The Clothing Supervisor plays a key role in creating an environment where patrons can enjoy a positive and uplifting experience each time they visit the temple. This role is responsible for ensuring that all temple clothing and linen supplies are clean, well-cared for, and readily available for patrons, workers, and employees. The working shift is from Tuesday through Saturday with the ability to be flexible with morning, afternoon, and evening hours. Work schedules may be adjusted during maintenance closures, as needed. Responsibilities- Ensures prompt cheerful service to all patrons desiring temple clothing through proper scheduling and supervision of workers
- Supervises staff while maintaining discipline and high morale of workers including monitoring and evaluating staff performance and preparing time sheets and log of volunteer support hours
- Maintains adequate inventory of rental clothing and cleaning materials by monitoring stocks and initiating requisitions for new supplies with adequate lead time
- Assures that all linen/clothing operation breaks even financially by correlating staff requirements, rental charges, purchases with Temple Recorder
- Oversees training of new workers through personal orientation, pairing new workers with experienced workers for details instructions and monitoring their interactions
- Two (2) years of relevant experience (commercial laundry or temple)
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Basic computer skills (preferred
- Demonstrates leadership abilities
- Experience in inventory control
- Basic financial background
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Physical flexibility – the ability to lift 25 kgs, bend, stoop, pull, push, and perform in a fast-paced environment; this position requires standing for extended periods of time
