Director of Clinical Engineering - Hospital Biomedical Services

The company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director 2, Clinical Engineering to lead the biomedical services program at Genesis Healthcare in Zanesville, Ohio . Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the Clinical Engineering program, ensuring effective operations and outstanding service delivery.
• Manage a team of supervisors and technical professionals, fostering a culture of mentorship, accountability, and high performance.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and calibration of a wide variety of medical equipment, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal performance.
• Partner with hospital executives, department heads, and clinical teams to align biomedical services with patient care goals.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards (CIHQ, DNV, Joint Commission/JCAHO) and hospital policies.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships effectively.
• Lead capital planning and project management initiatives for equipment upgrades and technology enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Technology Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) .
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in biomedical/clinical engineering services within a large healthcare system.
• Proven experience collaborating with executive leadership to align HTM strategies with organizational objectives.
• In-depth knowledge of CIHQ, DNV, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards.
• Strong decision-making skills, business acumen, and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams and implementing process improvements.
