Staff Accountant

ROLE SUMMARY

Welty provides professional construction management services, specializing in Lean Construction, for clients in a variety of healthcare, commercial, education, energy, and hospitality markets nationwide. KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Staff Accountant is responsible for reconciling cash on a daily basis, as well as maintaining the accounting records for properties within the company portfolio. Internally, the Accountant will work with the Accounting/Finance team through processes, as well as with other business units. Externally, the Accountant could work with customers and vendors through invoice and payment application questions.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Daily reconciliation of cash activity in accounting software (Sage 300).

· Maintain accounting records for properties held within the company portfolio.

· Posting AIA’s and invoices in accounting software.

· Reconcile owner pay applications, as needed.

· Manage and pay bills online and enter EFT information.

· Code and process credit card transactions and expense reports.

· Respond professionally to emails and phone calls.

· Follow processes and procedures in accordance with company policy.

· Collaborate with team on process improvements.

OTHER ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Conducts actions in a professional and unbiased manner.

· Complies with all company and site policies and best practice standards.

· Continuously develops proficiency and understanding in the role.

· Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY

· Intermediate Excel skills.

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

· Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage many projects and hit deadlines.

· Associate degree in accounting or related field or applicable work experience.

· Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

· Must be able to follow written or oral instructions.

EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in (B.S.) in Accounting.

· CPA license a plus.
