Commercial HVAC Estimator

Immediate opening for Commercial Project Estimator to join our team at Wright Heating and Cooling, a name known for trust and integrity for almost 75 years.

Primary Responsibilities:

• To locate commercial project opportunities and to estimate, negotiate and sell commercial projects in the commercial new construction market.
• To manage all commercial projects and to maintain costs within the budget estimated for the project to achieve a profitable outcome.
• Create estimates & proposal using company bidding and sales strategy, look at projects for Value Engineering opportunities. Offer customers options and upgrades to enhance their heating and cooling system.
• Submittals to be built and submitted as required. One hard copy for field use required before starting any project. Submittals may require periodic updates
• Create an efficient layout and design of the project.
• Maintain relationships and communications with multiple commercial vendors, partners, and other subcontractors.

Compensation: Starting Hourly Rate - $34 + Commission, Negotiable and based on Experience

Work Hours: In general, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in person

Required/Desired Qualifications:

• 2+ years consultative sales experience required
• Proficient in reading blueprints, and submittals.
• Valid driver's license and company-insurable driving record (Company vehicle not included in role, but there may be times a company vehicle may be used)
• Well-organized with the ability to work independently
• Advanced customer service skills
• Moderate to advanced skills in Microsoft Suite and experience sales and estimating software.
• Demonstrate the willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles
• Willingness to attend training classes and seminars
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pass a background check and drug screen

Helpful Qualifications:

• Be familiar with a wide range of equipment
• Read and understand basic electrical schematic diagrams
• Knowledge of air flow principles and techniques
• Completion of HVAC trade school
