Industrial Maintenance Mechanic — Power Transmission & Fluid Power Systems

What a day looks like

When a line slows, a robot pauses, or a pump loses pressure, you step in. You’ll diagnose mechanical issues across power transmission, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, restore production equipment to peak performance, and keep our operations moving. From predictive maintenance planning to hands-on bench repair, your craftsmanship and problem-solving keep our teams productive and safe.

What you’ll tackle

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Inspect, adjust, and fix automated equipment, process systems, and robotic cells to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Conduct failure analysis and perform both scheduled preventive and unscheduled corrective maintenance.
• Build and execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans that maximize uptime.
• Perform precision bench work to repair production equipment and assemble or refurbish spare components.
• Maintain accurate service records, manage spare parts needs, and help train peers when needed.
• Work a rotating schedule; be available for weekends and holidays as business requires.
• Take on additional assignments that support the company’s 2025 Strategy.

What you bring

• Associate degree in Mechanical Technology preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience; ability to pass the skilled trades assessment for this role.
• Working knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, including power transmission, hydraulics (fluid power), and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and write specifications, procedures, and mechanical drawings; capable of executing from verbal instructions.
• Strong organization and communication skills; detail orientation with solid mechanical aptitude.
• Experience working to tight tolerances on complex equipment and parts.
• Proficiency with measurement tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators) and the math needed to set up equipment and calculate dimensions.
• Preferred: ability to fabricate, weld, or machine parts; experience operating hoists, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
• Outstanding attendance with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs; comfortable working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and working at heights up to 28 feet; able to wear a respirator.
• Motivation to continuously expand your technical knowledge of plant systems and equipment.
