About the Role
Bonefish Systems is looking for a motivated, client-focused professional ready to launch their career in software sales and business development.
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll be the first point of contact for new prospects- researching, qualifying, and booking demos for our sales team. You’ll work closely with leadership to identify new business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and support marketing initiatives that drive company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing
- Research and identify prospective school districts, municipalities, and government entities.
- Cold call and email prospects to qualify leads and book product demos (commission opportunities).
- Build and execute marketing campaigns to support outreach goals.
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts to attract new clients.
- Support the creation and maintenance of marketing materials and campaigns.
- Attend tradeshows, conferences, and industry events to promote Bonefish Systems.
- Speak confidently with prospects and customers on relevant industry topics.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and lead status in the CRM.
Customer Relations
- Participate in occasional customer or partner visits.
- Collaborate with the Account Management team to ensure a seamless handoff of new customers.
Qualifications
- Drive to seek new business and achieve sales goals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with decision-makers.
- Prior experience in sales, marketing, or customer service is a plus (but not required).
