Housekeeping inspector/manager
The Wingate by Wyndham hotel in downtown Lima is looking for a professional individual to be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel with housekeeping, laundry and general appearance. Along with general upkeep of the Hotel this individual will Supervise departmental staff and help with developing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships, with all Inspectors and other members of the Management Team. Individuals should be dependable, organized, a strong communicator, and have a good attention to details.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective at handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Must have strong communication skills
- Able to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Able to remain calm and alert, during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for other associates
- Able to make sound business decisions and take action quickly based on previous experience and good judgment
- Able to assist other managers with regular tasks, such as, scheduling, training, and staffing
