Equipment Operator
Assembler/Equipment Operator I
Wieland is hiring an Assembler/Equipment Operator I. The Assembler/Equipment Operator I will be responsible for ensuring that components are machined and finished as specified by the detailed drawings and procedures of the company, while meeting the defined quality standards. We are seeking a flexible individual who can manage varying job duties from day to day. This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $21.00/hr., with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications
1st Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 6:00am-4:30pm
Pay Schedule: Biweekly
Responsibilities
Assembler/Equipment Operator I Responsibilities:
- Following production orders, company procedures and directions from supervisor, prepare parts and assemble components into assemblies.
- Successfully perform assembly operations by means of power tools or specialized equipment to produce pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
- Preparing parts for assembly by means of grinding, blasting, cutting of metals, etc.
- Execute assembly in accordance to companys procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality and safety standards.
- Maintain equipment in proper functioning status by applying preventative maintenance as per instructions.
- Propose new methods, procedures, or equipment to improve efficiency and/or quality
Qualifications
Assembler/ Equipment Operator I Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- 1-2 years experience in manufacturing.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, including hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, and respirator if required.
- Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use standard hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, etc.
- Proactive in proposing solutions.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques.
