Administrator
Summary Tots and Toys Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and organized Preschool Administrator to oversee daily operations and ensure a high-quality, nurturing environment for children, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is passionate about early childhood education and skilled in managing both people and processes Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the preschool to ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
- Supervise and support teachers and staff; provide guidance, coaching, and feedback
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare policies
- Manage staff schedules, attendance, and classroom coverage
- Greet parents and children; maintain open, professional communication with families
- Handle enrollment, tours, and admissions processes for new families
- Monitor classrooms to ensure curriculum is being implemented effectively
- Maintain student records, attendance logs, and required documentation
- Address and resolve parent concerns, staff issues, and student needs promptly
- Conduct daily safety checks of classrooms, playgrounds, and facility
- Order and maintain inventory of supplies, food, and classroom materials
- Coordinate meals, nap schedules, and daily routines across classrooms
- Support teachers with lesson planning and classroom management strategies
- Ensure proper staff-to-child ratios are maintained at all times
- Plan and assist with school events, meetings, and activities
- Communicate updates, policies, and announcements to staff and families
- Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and staff information
- Experience in childcare, preschool, or early childhood education (required)
- Previous leadership or administrative experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check required
