Associate Attorney - Medical Malpractice / Insurance Defense
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (Hybrid - 3 days in office) Salary: $115,000 - &125,000 DOE A respected mid-sized law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with medical malpractice defense and/or general insurance defense experience to join its growing litigation team. This firm is known for its strong trial focus, collaborative culture, and clear partnership track. Position Overview: This role offers hands-on litigation experience with meaningful courtroom exposure. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience, though more experienced attorneys are encouraged to apply. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to sharpen their trial skills and grow within a firm that values long-term career development. Practice Focus- Medical malpractice defense
- General insurance defense
- Trial preparation and courtroom advocacy
- Case strategy development and client advisement
- Manage a caseload from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Conduct depositions and attend court appearances
- Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings
- Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy
- 3-5 years of litigation experience (medical malpractice and/or insurance defense preferred)
- Licensed and in good standing in Ohio
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Trial experience or strong interest in trial work
- 1,800 billable hours annually
