Accounts Receivable / Legal Administrator

Description
E.V. Bishoff company is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable / Legal Administrator to join our team! Started in 1966, EV Bishoff is an owner operated real estate company located in downtown Columbus with other properties in downtown Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh. The main duties of this position are in Accounts Receivable (70%) with additional responsibilities falling under the Legal Administrator job duties (30%).
Accounts Receivable job duties include but are not limited to:
- Processing late charges
- Sending statements
- Sending late rent notifications
- Assisting clients with account issues
- Sending shut off notices
- Managing and following delinquent accounts
- Answering billing issues
- Following company practices to collect past due rents and charges
Legal Administrator job duties include but not limited to:
- Maintaining legal files / Filing
- Communicating with and sending information to the attorneys as needed
- Tracking case and collections progress
- Prepping lawsuit and collection cases (preparation of answers and discovering for legal cases)
- Assisting with the discovery process as needed
- Processing citations
- Updating and maintaining the legal case information
- Making copies for legal cases
Skills:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of legal terminology
- Ability to navigate multiple county court systems

- Intermediate level of Excel
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Experience with Appfolio or other property management software a plus
- 2-5 years experience as a legal or administrative assistant preferred.
Salary:
$26 per hour
