Operations Manager - Fiber

TekCom Resources is seeking an Operations Manager  for a direct-hire role with a fiber infrastructure firm in the Akron, OH area!

As Operations Manager, you will provide oversight of OSP construction projects occurring in and around Akron, OH -your work will be predominately office based, and your market will be 100 miles in and around Akron, OH. If you have experience as a OSP Construction Manager or Project Manager, and have assisted with financial management, project tracking, project operations, budgeting, vendor management and client communication, this role will likely be a great fit!

Our client will be expanding their market into Northeast Ohio and will be adding an office in the Akron, OH area. Previous experience setting up an office and managing operations is highly desired for this position.Â

Our client is seeking someone looking for a permanent home - you will be a full-time employee from day one and will have access to company vehicle and benefits when eligible. Bonus and advancement opportunities will be available for this role as well.

Your duties will include:
• Oversight of all aspects of the region's business, including vendor management, tracking, providing updates and receiving feedback from end clients, etc.
• Verifying with staff on the ground that work is being completed to company standards, making occasional site visits as part of this verification.
• Monitoring overall crew performance and assisting with personnel decisions.
• Administrative tasks such as vendor selection and billing, service agreement preparation and execution, P&L tracking and other related tasks.
• Assisting with enforcement of company policies and safety requirements.

What we would like to see

• 5 - 10 years of telecommunications industry experience
• Prior experience in OSP Operations, standing up an office
• Project Management, business operations experience
• Experience managing field crews, subcontractors, and project budgets .
• Experience in safety compliance and quality control
