Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support tax preparation operations for a long-term temporary assignment in Avon. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with prior experience in a tax office environment who thrives in a fast-paced setting during peak tax periods. The successful candidate will be dependable, organized, and committed to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for individual and/or business tax preparation
- Organize, review, and process tax-related documents
- Accurately enter financial and client data into tax preparation software
- Communicate with clients to request and collect required documentation
- Schedule client appointments and manage calendars
- Maintain confidential client records in compliance with company policies
- Perform general office duties including filing, scanning, and data entry
Required Qualifications
- Prior administrative experience required
- Previous experience in a tax preparation or tax office environment required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with tax software preferred
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Work Environment & Expectations
- Office-based role in a professional setting
- Fast-paced workload, especially during peak tax season
- Overtime or extended hours may be required as business needs dictate
